Course Overview

The SAP Ariba Downstream course is a comprehensive training program designed to help learners understand and manage end-to-end procurement processes using SAP Ariba. The course focuses primarily on Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Ariba Buying, catalog management, requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, approvals, Guided Buying, Spot Buy, Ariba Discovery, Commerce Automation, and integration with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.

Throughout the training, you will gain hands-on knowledge of procurement workflows, catalog configuration, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, accounting, budgets, approvals, invoice processing, reconciliation, credit memos, and remittance processes. You’ll also learn how Ariba enables buyers and suppliers to collaborate through the Ariba Network and how organizations can simplify procurement operations through cloud-based digital workflows.

The course provides detailed exposure to Ariba P2P approvals, multilevel approval rules, roles, Guided Buying, supplier management, tactical sourcing, Spot Buy, Ariba Discovery, Commerce Automation, and Ariba Network integration. You will also learn how master data and transactional data are exchanged between SAP ERP/S/4HANA and SAP Ariba.

Advanced integration topics include SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), Cloud Connector, IDoc and Proxy flows, Integration Portal, Integration Wizard, schema validation, transformation testing, connectivity testing, Transaction Tracker, and Test Central Framework. The course also introduces SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), Supply Chain Collaboration, and Supply Base Optimization.

By the end of the training, you will be able to manage core SAP Ariba Downstream procurement processes, configure purchasing and invoicing workflows, manage catalogs and Guided Buying, support supplier collaboration, troubleshoot integration issues, and work with SAP Ariba integrations across enterprise procurement environments.
